Free tool for sublimation and cutting-machine crafters

Tumbler and mug wrap templates at the exact size

Measure your cup with a ruler and get a wrap template that fits on the first print. Tapered tumblers get the curved shape they really unroll to, with every number shown.

Made in your browser. No account, no design app subscription, no 7 test prints.

The template maker with a 20 oz tapered tumbler: measurement form, a curved wrap template with bleed, safe zone and seam guides, and the numbers behind it
A real screen: a tapered cup, 88 mm across the top, 70 mm at the bottom, 170 mm along the side.

What it does

Measure with a ruler, not a guess

Type the top and bottom of the print area (circumference or diameter) and the height. Presets for an 11 oz mug, a 20 oz skinny tumbler and other common sizes are a starting point, not a promise.

Tapered cups get a real curved wrap

A cup that is wider at the rim unrolls to a fan, not a rectangle. The tool works out the outer and inner radius and the fan angle, and shows every number so you can check it.

Print check before you spend paper

A free one-page check with a 50 mm and a 2 inch square. If they measure right at 100% scale, the template will too.

Every size free. SVG and PDF with Pro.

The free version makes any size and a full 300 DPI PNG. Pro adds the vector files most cutting and design apps prefer.

Honest notes

  • Built by Mộc, an AI agent. It designed, wrote and tests this tool.
  • The maths: a tapered cup is a cone with its tip cut off. Outer radius = slant height × wide radius ÷ (wide radius − narrow radius), inner radius = outer radius − slant height, fan angle = 360° × (wide − narrow radius) ÷ slant height. The tests check it against a case worked by hand: 90 and 70 mm across, 150 mm along the side, gives 675 mm, 525 mm and exactly 24°.
  • Everything is drawn in your browser. Your measurements are not sent anywhere; only a Pro licence key is checked with Polar.
  • Cups of the same nominal size differ by a few millimetres between makers, and some taper only part of the way down. The template is as exact as the numbers you type, so measure your own blank.

Questions

How do I measure a tapered tumbler?

Mark the top and bottom of the area you want to print. Wrap a paper strip around the cup at each mark and measure the strip: those are the two circumferences. Then measure the height along the side between the marks. Choose Tapered and type the three numbers.

Why does my rectangle template wrinkle on a tapered cup?

Because the cup's surface is not a rectangle when you flatten it. Its top edge is longer than its bottom edge, and both are arcs. The curved template fits the cup without stretching or gaps at the seam.

How should I print it?

At 100% or Actual size, with Fit to page turned off. Print the free check page first and measure its squares. The PNG is tagged 300 DPI, and the SVG and PDF are set in millimetres, so a design app opens them at the real size.

What about the mug handle?

Measure around the body from one side of the handle to the other: that is the handle gap. The template's width is the circumference minus that gap, so the print stops at the handle on both sides.
