How to write Maverick, letter by letter
Maverick has 8 letters and 17 strokes in all. On the worksheet each stroke starts at a green dot, and the first copy of the name numbers the strokes in this order:

Tips for practising Maverick
- Only the first letter, M, is a capital: it starts at the top line. The rest are lowercase.
- The tall letter k reaches up to the top line, like the capital.
- a and c start with the same round movement as c: begin near the top and go counterclockwise.
- Maverick is a long name. Try the small letter size so it fits on one line, or start with the first letter page.
- The dot on i or j comes last, after the line.
- For the very first tries, print the trace and fade page: the letters get lighter row by row until only the start dots are left.
